What is ILLiad?

ILLiad is an interlibrary loan (ILL) tool that allows you to:

• Request articles not owned by Benedictine University Library
• Request books that are not available through I-Share
• Access delivered articles for 15 days

How do I log in to my ILLiad account?

1. Click Interlibrary Loan in the Library menu bar.
2. Click the ILLiad button.
3. Enter your BenU network credentials. If you're a new user, you'll be prompted to set up your account.

How do I request an article?

From a Database

1. If you find an article that you'd like to use in the Library databases but the full text is unavailable, click Request via interlibrary loan - ILLiad or click the Find Full Text button and then Request article delivery via ILLiad.

2. Enter your BenU network credentials. If you're a new user, you'll be prompted to set up your account.
3. ILLiad will automatically populate the article request form with the citation information. Submit the form.
   

From a Citation

1. Log in to ILLiad. (See "How do I log in to my ILLiad account?" above)
   
2. In the left column, under New Request, click Article.
3. Fill out the required fields and submit the form.
   

Where can I check the status of my requests?

1. Log in to ILLiad. (See "How do I log in to my ILLiad account?" above)
2. In the left column, under View, click Electronically Received Articles.
