Intercollegiate Athletics

Benedictine University at Mesa athletics teams compete as members of the California Pacific Conference (CAL PAC) in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The men’s and women’s golf, cross country, volleyball and tennis teams played their first season at the club level in 2014-15. The men’s volleyball team claimed fifth place in Division II at the 2015 National Collegiate Volleyball Federation Collegiate Club Volleyball Championships. Cheerleading, dance and men’s basketball programs are new for fall 2015 and softball will compete in spring 2016.

The University works with the Mesa Family YMCA so students, faculty and staff can take advantage of the YMCA’s facilities for recreation and intramural programs. The University’s golf team’s home course for practice and competition is Las Sendas Golf Club, one of the top golf courses in the Phoenix area.
