About the Department

The Career Services office primary function is to provide students and alumni with the tools to build a successful future that will assist them with their academic and career plans. In addition to assisting students and alumni in securing full time, part-time and internship opportunities, we support students and alumni by facilitating: resume workshops, interviewing resources, on campus recruitment and career fairs.

About the Staff

Shay Masterson is the Career Success Coordinator at Benedictine University Mesa. Ms. Masterson, who received her Bachelor's Degree from Arizona State University in Women and Gender Studies and minored in History, taught Social Studies as a Teach for America corps member in New York City. After spending some time in the "city that never sleeps," she returned to Arizona and worked and volunteered in the nonprofit sector. She also spent time providing support and guidance to teens and adults seeking new opportunities in career and education through 1:1 coaching, facilitating workshops/trainings, as well as planning events.

Internship Opportunities

BenU Mesa career services firmly believes that internships are the best way for students to get hands on experience in the career field of their choice during their time in college. Doing an internship during one's time at the University can open up doors to employment immediately after graduation and is a great networking opportunity to get one started down their career path. For more information on Internships at BenU Mesa, head to the Registrar's page.
