The Entrepreneurship major at Benedictine is designed to provide you with the essential theories, critical thinking skills and real-world knowledge necessary to support your launch into a career as entrepreneurs or intrapreneurs (agents for change within established organizations). The program gives you the knowledge and skills necessary to allow you to develop, market and manage your own business. You develop skills in market research, business plan development and evaluating business opportunities. Plus, our CO+HOOTS Institute for Entrepreneurship is the only program of its kind in the United States.
In addition to providing students with the amazing opportunity to acquire skills and experience in creating and launching a business, the CO+HOOTS Institute for Entrepreneurship also prepares students to be stronger contributors to the workforce through development and practice of key career readiness competencies that employers across industries are looking for in recent college graduates, such as problem solving, oral communication, collaboration, leadership, and professionalism. The small class sizes at Benedictine allow our students to thoroughly engage with the faculty. Our faculty, who are experts in their fields, are able to provide thorough feedback to students as well as craft classes to a student’s specific needs. Our faculty have connections for internships not only in Mesa, but throughout the state of Arizona.
