Benedictine University’s School of Graduate and Professional Education has entered an exciting partnership with Rio Salado Community College to join Communiversity Queen Creek. The University will begin offering accelerated bachelor’s degree programs in Queen Creek starting in May. A ceremony to recognize this arrival of Benedictine University Mesa to Communiversity occurred on March 26, at the Communiversity located at 21740 S Ellsworth Road. Among those in attendance were Dr. Michael Brophy, President of Benedictine University, along with Dr. Paula Norby, Campus Dean of Benedictine University Mesa, and Chris Bustamante, President of Rio Salado College.
Three new undergraduate degrees will be available and include bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice, management, and psychology. In addition, Benedictine University will offer a Masters of Business Administration (MBA). A student may earn an MBA in an accelerated 18-month program, or if a student is enrolled in a bachelor’s program, can begin study toward a graduate degree before completing their bachelor degree. In that scenario, the MBA program can be completed in one year of graduate study.
“Today is a great day. We have the ability now to take the core assets of what we’ve developed in Mesa – both our Catholic education and our entrepreneurial spirit – and now we’re moving to another part of the Phoenix area here at Queen Creek. We are very lucky to come into a circumstance where the beautiful facilities are being provided to us and for us. Our job really is to come in here and make sure we sustain the Benedictine charisma in our curriculum in both undergraduate degree completion and undergraduate programs,” said Dr. Brophy.
