Housing


The Phoenix Marriott Mesa, a three-diamond hotel offering 275 well-appointed guest rooms and suites with a panoramic view of the mountains, is located at 200 N. Centennial Way in downtown Mesa. The hotel is just a few short blocks from the University’s Gillett Hall and Services Center and student rooms have been consolidated onto a single floor for a community. 

Amenities per student include:

Room options:
  • Double occupancy per semester – $2,928
  • Single occupancy per semester – $5,856
Meal options:

Students will be issued weekly meal vouchers that can be used at the Phoenix Marriott Mesa’s Café Azul restaurant or Starbucks.

  • 21 meals per week per semester – $2,650
  • 14 meals per week per semester – $1,750
  • Eight meals per week per semester – $1,000
Residents are responsible for providing their own:
  • Bedding
  • Towels
  • Phone
  • Toilet paper
  • Hangers
  • Ironing board
  • Coffee maker
  • Toiletry and personal care items
 

*Registered students may stay in their rooms for a nominal fee during winter break if their account is in good standing with the Phoenix Marriott Mesa and they are registered for spring semester classes at Benedictine University at Mesa.

Housing contracts:

All housing contracts will be handled directly between enrolled students at Benedictine University at Mesa and the Phoenix Marriott Mesa.

To register for housing, contact Karen Hunt, director of sales at the Phoenix Marriott Mesa, at (480) 464-5079 or khunt@phoenixmarriottmesa.com. You must provide proof of admission/enrollment at Benedictine University at Mesa and a $200 Security Deposit to be held for the duration of the students stay on a major credit card. Additionally a credit card must be placed on file with the ability to “pre-authorize” for $850 (30 days of room and board). This is not a direct charge to the card, but a bank secured hold until full payment is made.

Important Dates: 
  • New Student Priority Housing Deadline:  May 5, 2014
  • Returning Student Priority Housing Registration:  May 15, 2014
  • Marriott Housing Contract/Deposit Deadline:  June 15, 2014

Full payment in cash, check or credit card for fall semester housing is due September 20, 2013 or within 48 hours of the University’s financial aid release, whichever is earlier.
