Benedictine University's Jared Bailey (Argo, Ill./Argo Community H.S.) has been named as the Northern Athletics Conference "Student-Athlete of the Week" for the period of December 3-9. During that time - in which the Eagles' team went 1-1 - Bailey lit up the competition to the tune of 28.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. He also averaged 4.5 assists and 3.5 steals per contest, all while shooting more than 51-percent from the field and 89-percent from the free throw line. In last Saturday's loss to NAC leader Aurora, Bailey led all scorers with a career-high 39 points, while also topping all rebounders with nine boards. Bailey also had game high honors in both points and rebounds in BU's win at Milwaukee School of Engineering, scoring 18 and snaring 11 caroms.
