Benedictine University's Kyle Bergman (Chicago Ridge, Ill./Richards H.S.)has been named as the Northern Athletics Conference Student-Athlete of the Week in baseball for the period of March 26-April 1. During the Eagles four games last week, Bergman went 8-for-18 (.444) from the plate - lacing five doubles - as the Eagles went 2-2 as a team. Bergman also scored four runs and drove in a pair of runs. His two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning versus Aurora University last Tuesday proved to be the game-winning RBI, while he slapped an eighth inning double and subsequently scored the tying run against Lakeland College in the Eagles' 8-7 win on Saturday. Bergman was 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts on the week, as well.
