Benedictine University senior defensive end Bob Corey was named as the Illini-Badger Football Conference Co-Defensive "Player of the Week," after leading the Eagles' in last weekend's 7-0 loss to IBFC champion Concordia University (Wis.). The Eagles finished the year at 5-5 overall. Corey had nine total tackles - five solo - and sacked the Falcons' quarterback twice for losses totaling 24 yards. He was key in helping force the run and applying pressure on the CUW signalcallers.
