Benedictine University senior women’s basketball center Tamika Curtis (Bellwood, Ill./Nazareth Academy) was named to the D3Hoops.com National “Team of the Week” for the period of November 26-December 2. During the Eagles’ three games during that span – in which Benedictine went 1-2 – Curtis averaged a stellar 28.3 points and 14.7 rebounds per game. She also averaged 1.7 blocks and 2.0 steals per contest, as well. She shot a blistering 69.8% (30-of-43) from the field during the span. In the Eagles’ overtime loss at North Central College, Curtis poured in a career-high 39 points. She also had two double-doubles on the week, giving her 44 during her Benedictine career (86 games).
