The Eagles golf team showed why it is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the future in the Northern Athletics Conference. At the Rockford College Invitational last Saturday, freshman Jon Price became the third different Benedictine golfer to take home medalist honors at an event during the spring season. Price shot a six-over-par 78 to take first place on a card-back playoff. Fellow freshman teammate R.J. Schwalbach was one of four others who finished in the second place tie by also recording a 78 for the round. Freshman Dan Klecan - playing his first round of the spring season - recorded a 90 as the Eagles' third scoring member. As a team, Benedictine was fifth overall, playing without one of its top competitors. In addition to Price's win, sophomore Andrew Delaney won the Aurora Invitational and Schwalbach took home first place at last week's North Central College Invitational.

Benedictine University is an independent Roman Catholic institution located in Lisle, Illinois just 25 miles west of Chicago. Benedictine University’s Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program is listed by Crain’s Chicago Business as the fourth largest in the Chicago area in 2011.
