Benedictine University's Stacey Sara (Cary, Ill./Cary-Grove H.S.) was named as the Northern Athletics Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for women's track and field for the period of March 26-April 1. Sara is a junior sprinter and hurdler. Sara won the 100 meter hurdles, was on winning 4x200 relay quartet, and took second place with the 4x100 relay team at Trinity Christian College "Troll Relays" on Wednesday. On Saturday at the North Park Viking Invitational, she won the 100 meter dash, 100 hurdles, 200 meter dash, and was on the winning 4x100 relay team in leading the Eagles to the team title at the event. All individual marks were personal records, as she contributed 30 individual points toward the women's first meet victory in the last 10 years.
