Benedictine University's sports information office and WGRN, Greenville College's student radio station, have made it possible for fans of both schools to enjoy Saturday's (Oct. 6) football game live. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. The cooperative venture was made possible when WGRN's student announcers were not going to be on campus because of the holiday weekend, leaving them shorthanded for the game. Likewise, Benedictine has only web cast its home football games live this season and was not planning on doing the game from Greenville. To facilitate both schools, Benedictine play-by-play announcer Mark Vasko - a 20-year veteran of local radio - will make the trek to Greenville and call the game over WGRN's airwaves. Benedictine's fans, in turn, will be able to click on the link on the Eagles' web cast page (www.ben.edu/athletics/eagleslive/), then click on the Greenville game to be redirected to WGRN's home page and listen to the broadcast via the internet.
