Benedictine University's volleyball team had its four-match win streak to open the 2007 season snapped, as the Illinois Institute of Technology swept its way to a 30-19, 30-24, 30-21 win at the Rice Center. The loss dropped the Eagles to 4-1 on the year. Benedictine's team had won eight matches in a row dating back to the end of last season. The Eagles were victimized by 23 attack errors, leading to a .055 attack percentage for the match. BU also had nine serve errors. Senior setter Angela Vitto notched 24 assists and had eight digs on defense. Freshman Kayla Leyden had team-leading totals in both kills (9) and digs (15).
