Senior sprinter Kimyenna Abron (Chicago, Ill./Hyde Park H.S.) used the stage of the Women's Chicagoland Championships - held at Lewis University - to lower her own school records in both the 55 meter dash and the 200 meters on Friday evening. Meanwhile, junior teammate Hannah Miller took aim at her own school standard for the indoor mile. Abron blazed to the top qualifying time in the 55 meters - as well as setting BU's school record - in a time of 7.35 seconds. She won the finals race in a time of 7.36 seconds. In the 200 meters, Abron knocked nearly two-tenths of a second off of her Eagles' record, as she posted a clocking of 26.28 seconds. Abron had previously set the record at 26.46 seconds. In the women's mile, junior Hannah Miller clipped one full second off of her own school record, placing ninth out of 32 competitors. Miller finished the mile in a time of 5:41.09 (she ran a 5:42.09 last season).
