Benedictine University sophomore outfielder Aimee Mahoney (Gardner, Ill./Gardner-South Wilmington H.S.) has been named as the softball "Student-Athlete of the Week" by the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC). It was the third time in as many weeks that an Eagles' player has earned the weekly award from the NAC. Mahoney led the Eagles' doubleheader sweep at Rockford College last week by hitting for the cycle in the twinbill. She led off the day with a long homerun to right field, eventually driving in three runs on the day. Mahoney went 4-for-8 in the doubleheader. On the year, Mahoney is hitting .410 with 12 extra-base hits (seven doubles, three triples and two homeruns).
