Benedictine's volleyball team kept alive its hopes for a berth in the Northern Athletics Conference post-season tournament thanks to its 3-1 (25-18, 26-24, 18-25, 25-20) win at home over Dominican University. The win upped the Eagles' record to 6-5 in the NAC and 12-14 overall. The top eight teams in the NAC advance to the league's tournament, which determines an automatic qualifier spot in the NCAA Division III championships. Benedictine has qualified for the tournament both years of the NAC's existence. Kayla Leyden paced Benedictine with 20 kills, while also contributing 16 digs. She also had one of her team's four aces in the match. Kate McGuire also had double-digit kills with 10 put-downs. Sarah Porod added eight kills and two blocks. Defensively, senior Amanda Distasio registered 21 digs. Sara Olszta and Jessica Judge had 14 digs, apiece. Judge also had a team-high 20 set assists. Freshman Taylor Hoppe gave 15 assists, as well.
