Career workshop offers advice on how to network for results

The Office of Career Development at Benedictine University will present a “Developing Your Employment Toolbox” workshop for jobseekers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27 on the second floor of the Krasa Student Center. Vickie Austin, founder of CHOICES Worldwide, a company that offers career coaching to entrepreneurs, executives and mid-career professionals including attorneys, health care practitioners, accountants and financial planners, real estate executives and other professionals, will present “Your Golden Rolodex: How to Network for Results.” A passionate and prolific writer, Austin has contributed to the career publications of the Wall Street Journal, including “Managing Your Career” and “The National Business Employment Weekly.” She has also contributed to their interactive editions, CareerJournal.com, StartupJournal.com and CollegeJournal.com. Registration will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. The event is open to the community. The cost is $10 for community members and $5 for Benedictine alumni.
