Coach Frank Janczak's Benedictine men's golf team finds itself right in the thick of the action after the first round of the two-day Illinois Welseyan Invitational at the Ironwood Golf Course in Bloomington, Ill. The Eagles composite of 302 was good for a second place team tie, nine strokes behind host IWU. BU is tied with Gustavus Adolphus College. Individually, junior R.J. Schwalbach fired a one-over-par 73 and is in a fifth place tie, infividually. Senior Andrew Delaney is and junior Tim Walters are both part of a six-player logjam for 20th place, after opening rounds of 76.
