Saturday Preview Days make visiting Benedictine easier, more convenient

Admissions 2010Lisle, Illinois ~ Too busy to visit a college during the week? Now you can visit Benedictine University during “Saturday Preview Days.”

On “Saturday Preview Days,” you can tour campus with a current student, meet with an Admissions Counselor, learn about the admissions process, discover Benedictine’s outstanding academic programs, and get information about tuition and scholarships.

“Saturday Preview Days” are scheduled on January 8 and 22, February 5 and 12, and March 5 and 19, 2011. There are two sessions each day – one at 9:30 a.m. and another at 10:30 a.m. Space is limited. Interested students should contact the Admissions Office at (630) 829-6300 soon to schedule their visit.

If a student cannot visit Benedictine on a Saturday, they can also visit Benedictine University on one of two “Preferred Visit Days” from 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2011; and from 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2011.

“Preferred Visit Day” offers high school students the opportunity to meet with the Admissions staff in a small group to discuss Benedictine University’s academic programs, admission requirements, application process, available scholarships and financial aid. Campus tours are also available. An RSVP is required by calling (630) 829-6300.

Students interested in earning a master’s degree can attend a Graduate Open House from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011, and from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2011.

Students interested in liberal arts are invited to attend a College of Liberal Arts Open House from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2011. Students and their parents will hear from Maria de la Camara, Ph.D., dean of the College of Liberal Arts, and meet with representatives from Admissions, Athletics, Financial Aid, Student Life, Student Activities and University Ministry.

Spring Open House for prospective undergraduate students will be held from 12:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2011 in the Krasa Student Center. Prospective students can check out Benedictine’s academic programs, learn about the admissions process, talk with a financial aid counselor, tour classrooms and residence halls and meet with faculty and athletic coaches.
