Nicki Anderson, Chief Executive Officer of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, will serve as the keynote speaker for the 129th graduate Commencement Convocation. The event takes place at 10:10 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Village of Lisle Sports Complex.
A member of the Benedictine President’s Planning Advisory Council, Anderson has led the Naperville Chamber since 2014 and has been a member of the organization for 20 years. She is the first woman to serve as CEO.
“It is an honor to have Nicki Anderson as our commencement speaker,” said Charles W. Gregory, Benedictine University President. “Nicki is a pioneer. Her wisdom and talent as an executive, author and business owner are great examples for our graduates to draw inspiration from as they begin the next chapter of their lives.”
In addition to working as the Naperville Chamber CEO, Anderson also serves on the Loaves and Fishes Community Services Advisory Board and on the 360 Youth Services Community Advisory Board.
Before becoming the Naperville CEO, Anderson founded Reality Fitness in 1993, which was one of the first in-home personal training businesses in the region. She later would travel all over the world educating small and large health clubs on customer service, marketing and innovation and in 2000, the first of three books she would write was published.
