Springfield: Fair Trade Fair empowers artisans around the world

Benedictine University at Springfield will host a Fair Trade Fair with proceeds supporting the work of Pax Christi Springfield, the Catholic peace and justice organization. The event will be held at Dawson Hall, located on the Benedictine campus at 1500 N. Fifth Street, on Monday, December 3 and Tuesday, December 4 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on both days.

The Fair Trade Fair will empower artisans from around the world with the selling of such items as Ten Thousand Villages, Christmas holiday items, baskets, soaps and olive oil from Palestine, scarves, jewelry, toys, books, clothing, calendars and more. Also available will be various coffees, tea, chocolate and other food items.
