Career Counseling and Assessment

Are you unsure about your college major and/or career path? If so, you are not alone. About 75% of all college students express some degree of uncertainty about their major and career direction. Working with a  career counselor can help you lean more about your career interests, strengths, values, personality, passions, and purpose as they relate to the world of work. We encourage students be open-minded and curious about career possibilities, and to take the time to explore while in college.

Taking a career assessment can help you clarify your interests, values, personality traits, and strengths and offer ideas about majors and careers that align with the "real" you.

FID4PathwayU

PathwayU is a free tool that you can use to explore career paths, prepare for future jobs by understanding your strengths, and explore career matches. It includes a series of assessments that measure your values, interests, personality, and workplace preferences, and creates a personalized report suggesting career paths that may be good fits for you. The assessments take 15 to 25 minutes to complete.

Once you have completed the assessment, contact career@ben.edu to schedule an appointment with a career counselor to discuss your results.
